Quilt SALE ..... unique opportunity!

Shop owner Michelle Marvig is a dedicated quilt maker and has several quilts published every year
within Australia.
Her shelves are groaning under the weight of these quilts and she has decided to sell some to make
way for the new quilts currently under construction.
The quilts on sale on the QUILTS FOR SALE page are the photographed quilts from the publications,
not copies.
There is only one of each design.

Silverado

Here at The Patchwork Heart we are addicted to the new style of charm bracelet. We have decided to add to our inventory Silverado Beads.
In particular, we love their range of coloured murano glass beads. We can now match our bracelets to our outfits. The silver beads are solid 925 Sterling Silver, while the gold are solid 14K gold. Two tone beads use both metals.

We will have our beads on-line soon, but in the meantime you can look at silveradojewellery.com.au website and contact us with questions or orders.

Please quote code when making enquiries.

Quaker Quilts
by
Judie Rothermel Inspired by the Heritage Centre of Lancaster County, Judie's rich reds from the mid to later 1800's were commonly used by Quaker women for applique and patchwork.
The range has a panel and co-ordinate prints. The full panel measures 90cm x 110cm. The large blocks are approx 14in and the small blocks approx 5in.
The panel and co-ordinating prints can be seen and ordered from the Reproduction fabric page.

Cathee met her idol, Judie Rothermel (right) who designs fabrics and quilts, at the Houston Quilt Show 2008.

The quilt exhibitions are in the exhibition hall next door. Quilt kits, fabrics, antique quilts, books and much more are on offer in Houston.

Tour 2008
Judie Rothermel is the leading designer of vintage fabrics for Marcus Bros Textiles. In October 2008 I was priviliged to lead the Travelrite Quilter's Companaion Tour to America. Over 19 days we visited a wide variety of quilt shops, museums, and other amazing tourist destinations, culminating at the Quilt Show in Houston.
It was here that myself and members of the tour group were able to meet quilting celebrites such as Judie Rothermel.

You can read further about the tour in the next issue of QC on sale March 2009.
